Never had an ice cream sandwich? In that case you haven't lived. Forget your fancy gourmet tartlet's and soufflés, ice cream sandwiches are the dessert for the connoisseur. Simply create 2 cut outs from a cookie base using the body of the mould. Place one cookie in the bottom of the mould, top up with ice cream then place the other cut out on top. You can now push the top down which will force the completed ice cream sandwich out with the top imprinted.
It's as easy as that and great fun!!!
Hint: With just a quick press everyday foods get a whimsical makeover! Rice easily becomes the star of the meal, or press through ice cream alone to create a heart as a lovely substitution for the boring old scoop.
The moulds work best with soft chewy cookies which can be bought ready to eat from the supermarket or baked at home
